EGYPTAIR TRAINING CENTER is officially recognized as ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Associate. During the opening ceremony of the The 7th NGAP/ TRAINAIR Plus Regional Symposium on 17 June 2013 Istanbul, Turkey and in attendance of Mr. Temel KOTİL, CEO Turkish Airlines Mr. Bilal EKŞİ Director General of Civil Aviation, Turkey Mr. George FIRICAN ICAO Deputy Regional Director, European and North Atlantic Office (Paris) Mr. Diego MARTINEZ ICAO, TRAINAIR PLUS Programme Manager, Capt. Mostafa HOUMMADY Chief, ICAO Aviation Safety Training section, handed the Certificate to Captain Mohamed Manar, EGYPTAIR TRAINING CENTER V.P.

The objective of the ICAO TRAINAIR Programme is to improve safety and efficiency of air transport through the establishment and maintenance of high standards of training and competency for aviation personnel on a worldwide basis and in a cost effective manner.

The certification follows a rigorous assessment process conducted by ICAO, evaluating the capability of the EGYPTAIR TRAINING CENTER to manage and conduct training courses and provide high standards of training for the global aviation sector.

EGYPTAIR TRAINING CENTER Captain Mohamed Manar says “In EGYPTAIR TRAINING CENTER, we certainly believe that training is of critical importance to ensure the safety, security and efficiency of air transport worldwide; Being a training provider for flight crew, cabin crew, technical crew, ground services and HR staff, with customers and partners in the Middle East and Africa, EGYPTAIR TRAINING CENTER is fully aware of the benefits of promoting and expanding the international and regional collaborations and cooperation among training organizations, to respond to the emerging and growing needs of aviation industry.”

The PLUS Programme includes significantly revised course development procedures and requirements, a new approach to the Standarized Training Package (STP) sharing library and a self-sustaining budgetary mechanism.

The ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme is in line with the recently adopted ICAO Training Policy and the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals initiatives.
