National Aviation Security Certification Systems (ASCS) Workshop
This five-day interactive workshop is designed to familiarize participants with the general principles of developing, implementing and maintaining aviation security certification systems, with an emphasis given to screener certification and aviation security instructor certification. The workshop presents guidance material incorporated in the ICAO Aviation Security Manual (Doc 8973 – Restricted) and provides an opportunity to develop sample programmes that can be used as the foundation for developing specific State certification systems and/or be incorporated into existing ones. This workshop is designed for personnel responsible for the development, implementation and/or oversight of aviation security certification systems.
Courses are instructed by ICAO certified Instructors and ICAO Experts
Trainees will enjoy daily transportation from/to EGYPTAIR Training Academy (Heliopolis and Naser City Area)
Trainees will enjoy daily lunch and two daily breaks with drinks and snacks
Tourism trips can be organized in weekends for trainees upon request with reasonable fees.

Course Objectives
Describe the requirements and benefits of certifying key aviation security personnel with an aviation security system;
Identify the difference between training and certification;
Demonstrate a working knowledge of criteria for a certification system, as well as the guidance material on certification provided in ICAO Doc 8973/8 — Security Manual (Restricted);
Establish the recruitment, selection and training criteria for personnel that may be certified;
Identify the regulatory requirements outlined at the national level related to the certification and recertification process; and
Establish the criteria for a national certification system.

Target Audience
The target audience for the workshop are personnel within the aviation administration responsible for the development, implementation and/or oversight AVSEC certification systems.
It may also be appropriate for airport or air carrier personnel who are involved in certification of screeners or AVSEC instructors.
Pre-requisites
Have written and oral command of the language of instruction.
Be engaged within organizations having AVSEC role.

A certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course and passing the final examination
