Egyptian Grand Museum Opening

EGYPTAIR Training Academy Celebrates the Grand Opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum

Cairo, Egypt – November 1, 2025
EGYPTAIR Training Academy proudly joins the national celebration of the Grand Egyptian Museum’s official opening, a landmark event that honors Egypt’s ancient legacy and ushers in a new era of cultural tourism.
Situated near the iconic Giza Pyramids, the museum is set to become the world’s largest archaeological institution dedicated to a single civilization.

A New Home for Egypt’s Timeless Treasures

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) spans over 500,000 square meters and houses more than 100,000 artifacts, including the complete collection of King Tutankhamun’s treasures displayed together for the first time. Designed with sustainability and innovation in mind, the museum features immersive exhibits, interactive digital galleries, and panoramic views of the Giza Plateau. Its architecture, inspired by the geometry of the pyramids, includes a monumental staircase lined with ancient statues and a striking triangular façade.

A Global Celebration of Heritage and Unity

The opening ceremony is a private event attended by international dignitaries, cultural icons, and global leaders, including Germany’s President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The highlight of the evening is a musical performance titled Music for Humanity, conducted by maestro Nayer Nagui, featuring 120 Egyptian musicians alongside artists from 79 countries. Commemorative gold and silver coins have been minted to mark the occasion, and the event will be live streamed exclusively on TikTok, with public viewing screens set up across Giza.

Welcoming the World to Egypt

Following the public opening on November 4th, GEM is expected to welcome between 13,000 to 15,000 visitors daily, a significant increase from the current trial phase attendance. Egypt’s tourism sector, which has already seen 15 million visitors in the first nine months of 2025, is projected to reach 18 million by year-end. The museum anticipates five million annual visitors, contributing to Egypt’s ambitious goal of attracting 30 million tourists by 2030. The Grand Egyptian Museum stands as a beacon of Egypt’s enduring legacy and its vibrant future.
