Airport Security Programme (ASP) Workshop

This five-day interactive workshop is designed to familiarize participants with the requirements of an Airport Security Programme (ASP) and enable them to draft and review such programmes. It is recommended that participants are at the middle or senior management level within the State’s appropriate authority, or within an airport, who are responsible for the approval, quality control, drafting, updating and/or implementation of ASPs. It is also recommended that participants have attended a specialized aviation security training activity, such as the ICAO National Civil Aviation Security Programme Workshop or Management Course, prior to attending this workshop.

Courses are instructed by ICAO certified Instructors and ICAO Experts
Trainees shall obtain ICAO certificates issued from our ICAO AVSEC RTC
Trainees will enjoy daily transportation from/to EGYPTAIR Training Academy (Heliopolis and Naser City Area)
Trainees will enjoy daily lunch and two daily breaks with drinks and snacks
Tourism trips can be organized in weekends for trainees upon request with reasonable fees.

Course Objectives

Describe the ICAO requirements for an Airport Security Programme (ASP).
Practical experience in drafting “sample” portions of an ASP.
Demonstrate the ICAO’s Airport Security Programme (ASP) MODEL OUTLINE, as well as guidance provided in the ICAO Security Manual Doc 8973/8 (Restricted).

Target Audience

Nominees at the senior to middle management level within a State’s authority charged with approval and/or quality control duties related to airport security programmes or from middle management at the airport level charged with writing or updating airport security programmes and who are also experienced in operational aviation security (AVSEC) matters will be given selection priority for this workshop. It is suggested that, if any State is in the process of drafting or updating an international airport´s ASP, the individual dedicated to this task should attend the Workshop. Furthermore, it is desirable that nominees should have already attended a specialized AVSEC training activity such as the Management Course or the National Civil Aviation Security Programme Workshop.

Pre-requisites

Ability to speak, write and understand the language of instruction
Be employed within the preserve of the Aviation Security Industry or have justifiable duties.
