Performance Management & KPIs

A performance indicator or key performance indicator (KPI) is a type of performance measurement. KPIs evaluate the success of an organization or of a particular activity (such as projects, programs, products and other initiatives) in which it engages. KPIs provide a focus for strategic and operational improvement, create an analytical basis for decision making and help focus attention on what matters most.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course the trainees should be able to:

•      Define performance management and discuss how it differs from performance appraisal.
•      Set key performance indicators.
•      Set effective performance appraisal standards.
•      Develop, evaluate, and administer at least four performance appraisal tools.
•      Identify the pros and cons of using different raters to appraise a person s performance.
•      Perform an effective appraisal interview
•      Define performance management and discuss how it differs from performance appraisal.
