Air Cargo and Mail Security Course

Course Objectives:

Enable the target population to integrate knowledge of ICAO standards and recommended practices (SARPs) into the context of their designated role in their organization as part of a national responsibility to secure air cargo and mail against acts of unlawful interference, in accordance with Annex 17 and the ICAO Aviation Security Manual (Doc 8973 – Restricted).

Who Should Attend

Aviation Security (AVSEC) personnel responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of air cargo and mail security measures, to include:

• Civil Aviation authority personnel responsible for aviation security.
• Other regulatory authorities, airports, airlines, and/or other stakeholders that have an active role in maintaining air cargo and mail security.
• National AVSEC instructors, who are or will be, responsible for training similar subject matter.

Entry Requirements:

Participants should work for the State’s appropriate authority responsible for aviation security, other regulatory authorities, airports, airlines, and/or other stakeholders that have an active role in maintaining air cargo and mail security.
There is no minimum level of responsibility for those meeting the target audience criteria.
