A320 Family

  • The Airbus A320 family consists of short- to medium-range, narrow-body, commercial passenger jet airliners manufactured by Airbus. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321
  • The aircraft family can accommodate up to 220 passengers and has a range of 3,100 to 12,000 km (1,700 to 6,500 nmi), depending on model.
  • The A320 family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as side-stick controls, in commercial aircraft. There has been a continuous improvement process since introduction
  • The A318, A319, A320 and A321 are single Aisle family with Twin engine subsonic medium range aircraft which are
  • International Aero Engines, CFM International for A319, A320, A321
  • Pratt & Whitney and CFM International for A318

  • The A318, A319 and A321 have exactly the same dimensions except that the A318 is 6.12 m (20 ft) shorter and 1.18 m (3ft 10in) higher, the A319 is 3.74 m (12ft 3in) shorter, and the A321 is 6.93 m (22ft 9in) longer.
